Our official opening day was Tuesday June 15, 2021

This day was chosen for a couple of reasons.  Firstly, there has been a lot of work being done to prepare the green, including new ditch boards and construction of new shelters.  Secondly, the Province anticipates that its reopening plan should be at Step1 by June 14th, which will allow us to have more members at the club for bowling.

We have developed a new set of protocols for 2021 (see attached) to update the restrictions from those that were in place last year.  These protocols give us a little more flexibility for our use of the club.  Here are the changes you will notice.

Lawn bowling will be offered on

  • Tuesdays at 10:00 am

  • Tuesdays at 7:00 pm

  • Thursdays at 10:00 am

  • Thursdays at 7:00 pm

  • Sunday at 1:30 pm

If more people attend than are allowed by the government restrictions at a given time, we will need to make some decisions on how to handle that occurrence.

  1. We will be allowing play involving Pairs or Singles.

  2. We will be putting out the benches in the new shelters.

  3. Lockers will be available but only on a necessity basis and not on a convenience basis.

Members who need to use a locker will be able to rent one for $15 for the season but only for putting their lawn bowls into.  Members who need a locker out of necessity are those who do not have a vehicle or other method of transport in which to keep their bowls.

  1. The clubhouse will be open for limited use only. We need to be able to restrict entry to as few as possible so only one person at a time will be allowed in for a few minutes for the following reasons,

  • Drawmaster duties

  • Washroom use

  • First Aid purposes

  • Locker access
